Update July 2023:Headed on my 4th flight with this bag and I fully customized it to my specs and added photos. Because of the limits of my spine, I am using this bag as my laptop bag with all my inflight essentials and charging cables. At most, I will carry 1 pair of light weight clothing if I also wish to carry my 19-inch gaming laptop. I didn't mention in my original review, but this bag has a strap to attach it to a luggage handle so I'm happy using this as my office bag and a carryon roller for the clothes and toiletries. The near-infinite amount of lash points allowing me easily rectify a few niggles I will describe in this update. I also added some photos. If Tollacea is reading this--on the next iteration of this bag please ditch the quick entry zipper--it is my main gripe about the bag. It is more nuisance than aid, and if Tollacea must this zipper in the future, add a lock loop on the zipper truck so it can be locked like the others. I used a wire key ring and Nite Ize Micro Lock S-Biner to lock this zipper in place so I stop opening it accidentally. Some may like this quick entry, but with the compression buckles fastened you can only open the main zippers halfway anyway. The footwell zipper like to creep open. I used another micro S-Biner to secure the zipper to a lash point so it stays zipped. The water bottle pocket is deep but not grippy at all. Empty bottles will fall out! I used a carabiner to loop the water bottle handle and solved the issue (see photo). My only other gripe, a minor one: The exterior charge point has both a USB-C and a USB-A port, but the cable to power these is a single male USB-A, meaning the charging speed is limited to USB-A. Not sure if this was a budget issue to price point the bag or for safety reasons, but I would like this jack to have been powered by USB-C as I could then charge my devices in 60 minutes or less rapidly. For now I use the USB-C output on my battery and a 6-foot cable through the zipper. The battery compartment is spacious for a decently sized battery however so that is fine. The rest of the bag is just excellent. I love that I can use shackle or wire locks to lock the zipper and there are a near-infinite amount of lash points to keep the lock in place. This is important to know if your bag was breached with a zipper strike. I did try to breach the zippers and could not do so easily with a ballpoint pen. I would love to see a premium model arrive in the future with a central locking point and tamper-resistant, self-healing zippers.Lastly: I could not make sense of the shoulder buckle strap that fastens the straps to the bottom of the bag. You have to squeeze the plastic clip and push through the metal retaining ring, then pull the ring backwards into the hook and it should audible click into place. Still not sure if I like this over the alternative, but it has held up well for now.I'm happy I took the leap of faith with Tollacea. No bag was going to check 100% of my boxes because I'm picky with my travel kit. I also like a bag that requires me to be strategic about carrying too much because I will otherwise. I will keep those interested up to date with how the bag holds up.Most of the reviews as of March 2025 are Vine reviews. I bought my bag with my own money, so this review is my own.I just finished transferring my kit old kit from a sub-$50 Amazon canvas rucksack and I'm super impressed ahead of a 48 hour there and back airplane trip. For starters the laptop pouch in the bag is sized for a 17 inch laptop WITH a protective sleeve. The one that comes with this bag is 15.6 inches and very cushy but my Rog Strix is 17 inches, so I bought a Nidoo set on Amazon and called it a day. At 17 inches with a sleeve, the velcro strap in the laptop hold JUST fits.I have a lot of carryon luggage pieces that do a few things well and leave other things wanting. I have a Columbia roller that is sized to fit a Mac book in the bag's tech pouch. It has straps to carry it as a backpack if needed, but carrying a square roller this way is hard on the back.I have a 2 suitcases in 1 from Eagle Creek I used on my tour of India but each separate bag is a large unstructured space and when zipped together the main bag is smaller that any other 24 inch roller on the market. The main bag with a laptop and clothes is also unwieldy as a backpack. None of these bags could carry my gaming laptop and all my clothes. So the need to a 72-hour bag that can also hold my gaming laptop, power adapter, controller and airplane headphones as well as my clothes and ditto bag is what led me to this bag. I thing anyone can do a week out of this bag but carrying 40L across a city or an airport is NOT fun no matter what backpack you buy!The rest of my review will be expanding on the details.I'm 6 feet and above 250 lbs with a 42 inch waist and I can center the bag on my spine and just under my shoulder line and secure the waist belt with plenty of slack left over. A usable belt on a bag like this is really important as you can bare more weight on your hips than your shoulders over the long term. And airports are only getting bigger with longer walks to gates, so huge win here. There are load adjusters in the shoulder straps as well and two sets of compression straps to purge air from the bag and bring the load closer to you worse. If you've ever worn a quality hiking bag, you'll love this bag as luggage. The finish of the bag is impeccable. Not a single loose or errant stitch. Bag tags are in German and English so it is surprising quality at sub-$100.Working zippers from front to back: front most pocket is very deep and lined. Good place for things you want to grab quickly but not for valuables as there is no lock point. I would have liked an organizer with pen holders, keychain and such on the front pocket of my luggage but I can live without them here.Next zipper is a non-locking pair that leads to primary storage, which opens suitcase-style. The pocket to the left of the fold it wet/dry storage as it is lined to allow the transport of damp, rung out swimsuits or towels. This pocket vents through the metal logo on the very front of the bag, which should slow mildew growth. Right of the fold is yoru primary clothes storage with retainer straps to keep it all in place.Next zipper is a locking pair that leads to secondary storage. WHAT IS NOT CLEAR IN THE PHOTOS is that this section is also shared with the shoe box, which is a sack that protrudes into this compartment. You put shoes in the bottom zip of the bag and you'll lose room here and if you stuff this compartment you won't get the shoes in. If you intend to use the shoe box, load shoes first!Left of the fold in the secondary compartment are 2 zippered mesh pockets for organizing. Right of the fold is more luggage space and the shoebox bag. I recommend you use this pocket for toiletries/liquids/office as it is separate from the clothes. Also, there a single zipper that will allow quick access to this secondary compartment. This is where you could leave you toiletry (ditto) bag or plastic sandwich bag for TSA inspection. This no lock hole here unfortunately but if you use a rope style TSA lock you could loop through the zip. The access zipper will fit a tablet but not a laptop so it's an idea here.Last zipper in the rear is the second and final pair of locking zippers to the laptop compartment. Inside here as mentioned is generous space for a laptop and another fabric pocket for a tablet or thinner laptop. There is also a long black strap with a hook on the end for keys? I don't know. The pocket for the laptop is the most minimal padding so a sleeve is a must!I was originally going to buy a dedicated laptop backpack and use this solely as luggage but this bag in black doesn't scream "luggage" when it is not filled to capacity. I have other luggage that has about the same base weight so I do not think it is heavy.I do not like checking luggage on short trips so this bag is meant to fit this role. That said if you are an American reading this, this rucksack is the bag you can fly TO and FROM Europe and Asia with, but not within the euro zone or domestically within Asian countries. The reason for this is that Europe and Asia have very strict carryon weight limits enforced at the jet bridge. Europe's domestic carry on bag size limit is 20 inches; in the U.S. it is 24 inches. In India and many other Asian countries carryons must weigh under 12 lbs/6 kilos when flying domestic. They will literally weigh your carryon and tag it as luggage for you to be able to carry on the plane. In Europe you can expect you luggage to be measured to fit the limit. You can use this bag with these limitations in mind as long as you underpaid it to meet the limits. A quality duffel bag or in Asia a plastic woven grocery sack are a better options to meet the limits.First flight is coming soon but I'm really happy with my purchase. I will report back to see how this bag fares with the good folks at TSA.

Too big for under the seat but this bag is great for weekend trips as it will hold everything. Well built, seems durable, comfortable to carry/wear. I don’t like that it doesn’t have anywhere to tuck all the excessively long excess straps, they’re everywhere. It’s also fairly expensive for what it is…a large, multi compartment backpack.

This has now replaced my roller bag for short trips
2026-01-21    -TheBoxWhisperer

I ordered this backpack with a very specific goal in mind: to stop using a roller carry-on and a separate laptop bag for my 2-3 day work trips. I wanted a single "one bag" solution that could hold my clothes, a 15" work laptop, a tablet, and all my accessories, while still fitting in an overhead bin. This bag seemed to check all the boxes with its expandable capacity and, most importantly, the separate laptop compartment. The clamshell (suitcase-style) opening was a huge draw, as I'm a big fan of using packing cubes. After taking it on its first business trip, I can say it performed exceptionally well. Packing was super easy; I unzipped it fully and packed my clothes on one side and my toiletries and tech pouch on the other, just like a small suitcase. The dedicated tech compartment is well-padded and easily fit my laptop and portable monitor, and laying it flat at airport security was quick and hassle-free. The bag was comfortable to carry through the airport, with well-padded shoulder straps and a sternum strap to distribute the weight. I didn't need to use the expansion zipper on the way there, but it was nice to have that extra 10L of space for the trip home because I picked up a couple of things for the kids. This bag has officially replaced my roller bag for short trips. It’s incredibly well-organized, with plenty of useful pockets, and the build quality feels durable. The only minor downside is that when it's packed to the gills, it can be a bit bulky and might be a tight squeeze for the overhead compartments on smaller regional jets, so you have to be mindful not to overstuff it. That said, for anyone looking to streamline their travel and embrace the efficiency of one-bag travel, this is a perfect, affordable option that punches well above its price tag.

Comfort, spacious and stylish

This travel laptop bag works perfectly for one- to two-day business trips. It has two spacious compartments for clothes and essentials, along with multiple pockets and nets to hold everything neatly. The main compartment features dual zippers, allowing it to be used both as a suitcase and as a backpack. The only drawback I found was getting used to the many belts and buckles, which was a bit tricky at first. As a carry-on, it holds up to 10L, and my 15-inch laptop fits securely in its padded section. The zippers are smooth and have a premium feel, while the broad straps make it comfortable to carry on my shoulders.

Well organized rugged backpack
2026-01-25    -On the farm

This back has the most compartments of any backpack I've ever had I think. Something like 12 internal divisions and 3 or more externally accessible pouches and a few strips of carabiner attach points. The build quality is super solid: Excellent stitching and very rugged feeling materials. There's attention to detail here in things like the separate internal plastic liner for wet items, and the pass through for USB A/C to keep a battery bank inside. Zippers are great and all the hooks are good. The only tricky thing I found was that it wasn't pre-rigged into backpack mode, and it uses an unusual type connector to latch the shoulder straps to the bottom side of the bags. It's all quite secure once connected, but it took a few moments to figure out even staring at the directions. The volume is good, right on the money for airline carry on sizing. Though with the large number of compartments, efficient packing might be more difficult (albeit much more organized than a regular school bag type pack). The weight of the bag is not negligible, I can see it wasn't a focus as the bag weighs a couple of pounds, so it's not going to be great for long distance hiking, but day trips by any sort of non-walking conveyance will be no problem. Caveat, besides the weight, it is quite comfortable, I just wouldn't take it on a week long trek where every gram matters.

I got this travel bag so that I could easily carry everything I need for short trips. This bag is great as it offers large compartments, many pockets, and a dedicated spot to keep my laptop and other electronics. This travel backpack offers lots of great little features and has a nice overall design. There are two main compartments, one is larger than the other but both offer a decent amount of space. The larger of the two also has a quick access Zipper a the top, this can be great to keep items that may be used during travels and can be accessed without needing to open the full front Zipper. Both of these compartments also have a separate pouch that have a water proof fabric, these are great for things like toiletries or a wet bathing suit. The bag includes a USB pass-through, this lets you add a portable charger inside the bag so that you can easily plug in a device and charge it from the outside of the bag.The bag itself looks and feels like a premium bag, the fabric feels strong and I don't expect it to ware out prematurely. The shoulder straps feel a bit more on the cheap side unfortunately but the carrying handles are solid and I end up using those more than the straps. There is also one quirk I found a bit strange, in order to fully open the two large compartments, one of the shoulder straps needs to be unclipped. There is a fairly easy to use clip to remove it but it feels like a strange design to me. Frankly I was hoping maybe the shoulder straps could be fully removed but it is not possible as they are stitched onto the bag near the top. This is probably my only complain with the bag and its not really a big deal. There are other nice features on this bag that I really like. The pouch at the bottom to keep a pair of shoes is great as it keeps them separate from the rest of my clothes as well as very easily accessible. The compartment is not huge but good enough smaller shoes or sandals. The back also has a very easily accessible pouch for something like a book, magazine, or even a tablet. This pouch does not zip up but secures these types of items when worn as a backpack.Overall I really like this bag, it has some very smart design choices (and one odd one with the strap issue), has large compartments and capacity, and offers dedicated spaces for all the things I need for short trips.

held up well on a two week overseas trip and several weekend excursions.not a back packing set upmore like hotel trips. but very sturdy and durable
