I read the reviews and had some concerns but ordered anyway. These suit my style and were reasonably priced. They are definitely manmade and I will have to be careful not to scuff the black off because they do feel like the cheaper vinyl that will peel when scuffed. Only time will tell though. I ordered the wide calf but I am not sure how wide the calf actually is. I can sometimes wear regular calf boots and these do not feel like there is much more room in them. I do not think they would work for someone with very wide calves. I can slide my hand inside them at the calf while zipped so the stretchy panel gives them maybe another inch. All in all, I do not hate them, they will serve me at least for one season hopefully, and if your calves are only slightly above average and are planning fairly light wear such as occasional go out for a drink or wear to work at the office they could work out for one, maybe two seasons. I don't regret them at the price I paid.

This boot really is wide at the foot at the toe box, and at the shaft. It has this wonderful little patch of stretchy material at the back of the boot, which you can hardly see. makes this boot super comfortable, even when sitting down.

I think these boots are cute. They aren't high-end, but they do look nice. However, if you need a cushy footbed (as I do), these may not be the right choice. I'm sad about it because they look fine on the outside, but I'm sending them back because they won't allow me to stand on my feet all day.If you're young and your feet haven't turned on you yet, you'll like them!

This boot is comfortable, including the wide calf; great arch support; wears well for walking. Great buy for a reasonable price.

I agree with the other reviews - go up half a size (I’m normally a 7 and ordered the 7.5 and glad I did because my toes would have been right at the end had I ordered my usual size) and I definitely wouldn’t recommend these if your calf is any larger than 17” (mine are just shy of 17” and they fit just fine - snug without any extra effort to zip them, but I will only be able to wear them with thin tights/leggings). I gave them 4 stars because I find that they bunch/slouch in the ankles and you can tell that the material is not real leather (nowhere near as nice at my Naturalizer ones that are double the price). But overall for the price and general fit, they are a pretty good boot if you have just slightly larger than average calves. Bit of a rant here, but I don’t think companies get what “wide calf” means. They are always only slightly wider than average which means I can never find a pair wide enough to wear with jeans and ladies with calves larger than 17” can hardly ever find a pair to fit them at all.
