I bought these beanies for my son who is three years old, even though they are advertised for kids four and up. I went ahead and washed them before trying them on him and they fit his head just fine. They have a nice stretch to them, which makes them comfortable, but the stretch is more of a looser kind, so I do wonder if over time they might get even looser as his head grows and stretches the beanie a little more. Hopefully that makes sense.One thing I really like is that the pack comes with three different dark colors, which I think is perfect for the fall and winter seasons. The colors are simple but stylish and easy to match with his jackets and sweaters.The material itself is soft on both the inside and outside. The inside has a layer of fleece, which makes it very warm and cozy for my son to wear. They are not overly thick but also not super thin, so I would say they are a nice balance for cooler weather. I do not think they would be the best option for very extreme cold though, and I also feel like if they got wet in the rain or snow they would soak up water pretty quickly.Overall, I think these beanies are a good choice for kids and I like that my son actually enjoys wearing them. They keep his head warm without being uncomfortable and I love having a few different color options to rotate through. For the price, I think it is reasonable.
