I ordered this pack of six pairs of children’s socks in Size L (8-12 years) for my ten-year-old son, who has average width UK size 2.5 feet. The socks are a good fit on him, being neither too tight nor too loose, and they are true to size compared to other socks that he has.My son loves the designs, particularly the three pairs that have tigers on them. As for the rest, the plain brown ones and plain beige ones are a bit nondescript, and he isn’t so keen on them, while the stripy green and blue ones are nice, but not as nice as the tiger ones.The socks are made of 98% polyester and 2% elastane. They are soft, but not as soft as the cotton or bamboo ones that he has. Still, my son finds them very comfortable against his skin, and they remain comfortable all day long, whether he is lounging around the house or out all day walking, scooting or playing football with his friends.The socks are breathable, but once again not as breathable as those made from natural fibres like cotton and bamboo, though this is compensated for by their relative thinness (they are about as thick as average school uniform socks), so my son’s feet don’t get sweaty on long winter walks (60 mins at around 1℃). He hasn’t been able to try them out in warmer conditions yet, so I’m not sure how suitable they will be at the height of summer, but they are fine for autumn through spring.The socks have elasticated cuffs. The cuffs have enough grip to hold the socks up so they don’t fall down, even when my son is running around, and he doesn’t need to adjust them throughout the day. The grip isn’t too tight though, so the cuffs don’t dig into my son’s calves, cause him any discomfort, or leave lasting marks after a full day of wear.The socks can be machine-washed at 40℃, and they can be tumble-dried, so they are easy and convenient to clean. I have machine washed them at 40℃ and allowed them to air dry; this has been fine, and has not resulted in any shrinkage, loss of softness, loss of elasticity, or fading of colours. I didn’t notice any pilling or lint after the first wash.My son has had these socks for just a few days so far, so I can’t speak to their durability yet, but they appear well-made and their quality is similar to all the other good quality pairs of socks that he has, so I don’t foresee any problems.Overall, I’m very happy with these socks. I think they’re ideal for anyone looking for good quality socks for their kids, which have fun designs, are suitable for running around in, and are easy to wash.

No natural fibres have been harmed in the making of these socks!

In the pack, you get six pairs of socks for the current price of £9.50. We opted for the blue / green / oatmeal tiger options. Out of the packet, they socks look fun and something that a young child would like to wear. Our little boy is six years of age. He’s a big lad and we chose the large socks - eight to twelve years of age. All of the clothes that he is now in are sizes eight to nine. We gave him the green tiger socks to test out and asked him for his review - ‘Good’ was his well considered response. I asked him if he had anything else of note - ‘They’re fun’. He’s got this reviewing business down to a tee! The main thing that I noted was the composition of the socks - 98% polyester and 2% elastane. Not a thread of cotton anywhere unfortunately. The elastane ensures that they are stretchy and aside from that, it’s all polyester. These socks are fully man-made. This does mean that little feet may struggle to breathe in them as polyester simply doesn’t have the breathability of cotton. If I was in the market for buying some new socks, I probably wouldn’t choose these and would go for something with natural fibres. None the less, the look okay and feel okay.

These are my son's favorite socks. He was super excited to try them on, and is all he wants to wear now. He's about to turn 6, and they fit his feet perfectly. He's a size 13.5 in Little Kid shoes.The socks are not only a perfect fit, but they are also incredibly soft, a great height, have really cute designs, and appear well-made and durable.After a wash (easily thrown into the washer and dryer), they still fit well and and look great.Love how versatile these are as well. Can be casual or dressed up. Sometimes our kid will complain about his other socks not feeling comfortable when he puts his sneakers on (having to pull them up/fix them), but with these Amazon Crew Socks, he has no issues and says they feel really good in his shoes.Great price for 6 pairs. A+ socks; highly recommend.

Our grandson is a cat fanatic. When we saw Amazon Basics was doing sock sets for toddlers we had to get these. All are adorable!Here’s a breakdown of the set: two solid background bengal cat pairs(white, blue & green), blue/green stripes pattern, and two pair of solid colors(brown & heathered cream).I love crew length socks. Each pair feel perfect for any weather but divinely fitting for the weekends when you need something fun/quirky/spiffed up. They are beautifully machine knitted and haven’t fuzzed in the wash yet. They are still a tad bit big as they are sized for 2-4 years. That means they should fit a 4 year foot better than our 2 yr old grandson. That’s okay, he can grow into them.

Amazon essentials gets the basics right

These socks are great. They fit my 8 year old son perfectly. Somehow he has managed to wear holes in all his socks so we were due some new ones. You get a nice 6 pack with alternating plain colours and ones with little tigers on them. Fit is good and they are comfy. Good quality although I would have preferred some cotton - these are 98% polyester and 2% elastane. Otherwise great and for the price excellent value.

These socks are pretty good quality socks, but I do think that they have one issue that may not be an issue for everyone. The only issue I’ve had after several washes with these Amazon kids socks is that the sizing I do not think really does apply to most children under the age of five. The age rangefor these cute socks is listed as from ages 4 to 8 however, I have seven children and I have been working with children for over 20 years, I don’t know a single four, five, or six-year-old that would fit these socks. They are very big. My seven-year-old, however can wear them. I feel like I can’t take stars off for this because there might be some child somewhere who is four years old with incredibly large feet. However, keep that in mind, I do think these run big.After a few washes, however, the quality it’s pretty good. Their cotton socks, so your feet won’t get sweaty easily. They are thin so I would not use them as sports socks. I would say they’re more of a fashion sock. The patterns and colors are vibrant. My seven-year-old said the socks were comfortable. They washed well and did not shrink or fade or get ugly.Overall, I think these Amazon kids socks are a pretty good value.

Too big for 5 year olds.

I ordered these for my 5 year old son, he loves the colours and patterns and I was glad to give him some fun socks that weren't just plain black for school.Pros:- Fun designs! He loves the tigers.- 6 pairs for the price is good value for money.- Soft and comfortable.- Wash well and dry quickly.Cons:- Whilst they do feel very cotton like these are polyester socks and do not aid in helping feet breathe or stopping smells.- They try and be one size fits all for ages 5-8 but realistically these are socks for 7-8 year olds. My son has worm these once and I've washed them and will be putting them away for a year or two as they're too big.Good socks for the price but don't let the sizing fool you.
