Yes, this are brown only but the old switches have the same faceplate and the buttons swapped out without issue. I am having to gradually replace the old generation because sometimes they fail after power loss. I have not seen any of the newer gen have that issue. I use these with my smartthings automation throughout the house. I didn't give a 5 star simply because at $50 to $70 each minimum when you factor in they are basically replacements of old units that failed after a year.

Adding Z-wave anything can be frustrating. It has to receive and send an RF signal from the hub. If you install it, and it doesn't work, remove it and power it (without the load!!!!!) near the hub. Once it is recognized by the hub, you should be able to move it to the desired location. I had an outlet that wasn't getting a reliable signal, so by adding this switch to a light near it, it solved the problem.

I have purchased several of these. I can control almost all of my lights indoor and outdoor with simple voice commands to my Google Home. They work well with several hubs (advertised works with google) so I can control the from the cottage using my phone. I also purchased smart smoke detectors so I will get notified when I am not home of and problems there and several GE smart plugs to control other devices the same way.

Using with a SmartThings hub, very easy to set up, worked first time out, did not have to reset to get the hub to see it. Scan the barcode on the unit and your on your way. First Z-Wave device I did not have to fight with to get it connected to the network. Seems well made, even came with a long enough piece of wire to connect to the neutral side. Also does not matter which connection you use for Hot vs load, device figures it out for you.

I wanted to change a black switch to a smart switch and this is exactly what I needed.Great quality and easy to install (as long as you are familiar with electrical installation, otherwise there are a ton of videos on youtube to help).It came with a neutral wire which was beneficial and was super easy to install on smartthings. Would buy again.

Purchased this for a 3-way set up. Unfortunately, Amazon did not indicate like they do for so many products with "People who bought this, also bought these" suggestion. The missing suggestion was the need to buy the add-on switch for the other location. 3 way function does not work without that. GE should market a bundle package of the two switches together. So my install was delayed while I waited for the add-on switch.You can review the installation instructions before purchasing under the details of the product. Be aware this is not wired like a traditional 3 way switch. The add-on switch ends up being just a communication device for the main switch. A little hard to describe, but the way you connect the wires kind of bypasses the add-on location. The 3 way function is "restored" using only one of the travelers for the add-on to "tell" the main switch to turn on.In a way, it is a very interesting solution, but you need to be aware of that and follow the wiring diagram as this is really different than a non-smart 3 way set up.For the normal DIY guy, you do need to study the wire's path in and out of the junction box to determine which of the black wires is the 2nd traveler. There were no "clues" in the installation instructions. The red wire is normally one of the travelers and is best used as traveler #2 in the instructions.Normally the 1st traveler is the black wire in the same romex as the red. So you need to study the path of the black wires inside the junction box. Perhaps there are other ways to determine, but that worked for me.

I like being able to control the lights in my house from anywhere with my phone. also add motion sensors to control the lights outside the house. This opened a new vision of control in my house based on time, precession, movement, etc. The Z-wave communication gives me room not to put everything on WIFI (2.4 or 5) and make my other devices run slow. I am happy with this SW.

I installed this in an infrequently used area of the house. Switch goes on and off by itself. Install was easy enough. Zwave setup with smartthings was easy. Support is only available by phone certain times/days. Troubleshooting steps did not resolve.
