Life is good now! No more needing to get an enclosure to plop an internal hard drive into, just to do your thing with it. This docking station takes care of everything for you. This is not just for I.T.. This is for anyone who has an internal hard drive laying around and wants to either wipe it clean, see if you can salvage what is on there, or still use an internal, but externally, vs. buying an external HD. Awesome product. Thanks guys.

Reconnu immédiatement par windows 7 !Très fonctionnel, il suffit de déconnecter le disque voulu depuis l’icône windows en bas à droite de l'écran puis de couper le bouton sur le dock et le disque peut être retiré sans avoir d'incidence sur l'autre en cours d'utilisation (contrairement à ce que j'ai pu lire plus bas).Pour exemple, actuellement un disque est en cours d'écriture, je viens de sortir le deuxième sans avoir perturbé le premier.Je vous conseille de marquer au tipex le n0 des disque (1et2) en face de chaque baie pour éviter les erreurs.

No fuss, no nonsense, no hacky "offline copy" functionality that tries to emulate fake devices. The power buttons on the top are a great touch, allowing safe operation of one drive while swapping the other. If you just need to hook up two hard drives and quickly swap them, this is the cradle for the job.

I have been using Startech hardware and cables for years. Always found them to be reliable. Sometimes a bit more expensive but well worth it. I suffered some kind of power surge in the motherboard of one of my computers. Fried the sata II connectors and two of my hard disks. Had to pull the rest of the drives outside the case and was short e-sata ports. Very happy with the performance of this device. Have not yet used the back up feature as I have not yet recovered my lost data. One great feature is the eject button instead of just pulling the drives out. No fear of damaging connectors on drives. Not sure about other docking stations, but you can turn the drives on after the computer is on and dismount the drives while computer is running. Hot swappable basically. Again, totally happy with purchase.

I bought this device for use under Linux as an enclosure that I could use to support 2 5TB Seagate Barracuda drives in a software RAID array. For the record, it works. I an average of about 100MB/s read rate to the RAID 1 array composed of those two devices from my Thinkpad P50 over USB 3. It's listed as a "uas" device under lsusb. It has only been a few days so I can't vouch for its long-terrm stability, though.

Funciona excelente y me ha sacado de apuros.

El producto es muy útil para recuperar información. Y muchas veces me ha ayudado ha respaldar mi información y la de otros. Y la recomiendo a personas que son los “soportes técnicos “ de la casa o de los amigos. Aunque parece que no se utiliza mucho, te saca de apuros en situaciones inesperadas.
