Works just fine. I popped a 2.5" SATA drive from an old non-functioning Dell laptop, slipped it into the enclosure, and now I have a spare external drive. Several have indicated that the case is difficult to open. The trick is to open it using your flat palm and pushing back on it. Opens easily that way for me. My only small complaint is heat dissipation. No grill or openings to release heat, but that may not be a factor if you're just using it for quick storage transfers.

I hooked this up to my Wii U and it worked perfectly! So glad I ordered this because my HDD was getting dust all over it and I was scared it was going to stop working soon!! It was always on my mind night and day for about a whole year. I would have nightmares about my HDD messing up because it was not in an enclosure. Now that I ordered this, I can sleep peacefully! Thank you so much!! Best value for my money and it fit my 2.5 HDD.

This is very simple to install the drive in and to use. It works well on my MacBook. Seems to be well made.
