Very simple to setup and use. Works with every drive 3.5, 2.5, M.2 NVME. The fan is very quite I couldn't hear anything. For the price this is a great deal if you need to access a drive, copy/clone a drive for another system. Temp access an external drive just to get files. You can take an old drive out of an old system (NOT IDE) and you want your old files. You've upgraded to a new computer/laptop. Just pull the old drive, plug it into the FIDO Hard Docking Station. And copy all those files to your new system. Works on Windows 10/11 (at Windows speed) Works at lightning speed on Xubuntu/Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. But Linux is faster at everything then Windows. :)PROS:You can plug in two drives and copy/clone. It has a switch that lets you choose the direction of the copy/clone. 2.5/3.5 to NVME or NVME to 2.5/3.5. It's very small, very easy to store. You can also use it as an external drive or drives. I cloned an internal SSD to the external NVME (YOU NEED SOFTWARE ON THE COMPUTER TO DO THAT TYPE OF COPY/CLONE). I used Paragon 17 Partition Manager Advanced.CONS:None :)beast-usa

This offline clone device was reviewed against my Windows 11 PC and can clone both 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives to NVME M2 SSD and visa versa via a direction switch on the back.The internal data busses can operate up to 10Gb/s so any speed bottleneck is more likely to be the connected devices.When using the offline cloning function, the destination drive must have more disk space than the source drive or clone will fail.Also the cloning process is destructive as it totally wipes out any pre-existing data.When connected to computer via its USB port, it acts as a docking station with both inserted drives accessible for read/write in Windows.The build quality is superb with the device looking strong and durable.The user manual is in English and at the start of booklet over 9 sides of paper. It has enough information to prepare you for cloning and also a few fault finding tips.In summary, this is great device for cloning and copying between SATA and M.2 NVME drives. although the fan is a bit on the noisy side, it good point easily outweigh this issue.Definitely worth shortlisting.

Revising review because I now own two slightly different models of this. I initially had the SATA + SSD version, I now also have the SATA + 2 SSD version, which is almost the same but more flexible. Both models work very well, either as a quick and easy way to attach a loose HDD/SSD or as a standalone duplication station. I've actually been using this to preformat blank drives with a filesystem while I do other work on the computer.This is handy for grabbing stuff off loose drives and also if you maintain a "library" of stuff on external hard drives - it saves you from having to buy a case for every drive. Mechanical design is pretty nifty - it folds up for transit, and you can easily unfold the fan to insert the hard disk and/or NVMe SSD. Super easy to setup.I'm actually using this to duplicate SD cards using a SD adapter, and it works really well for this without tying up USB ports on my computer. Yay! It's a little on the expensive side if you're just using it as a docking station, but the standalone duplicator feature makes it reasonably good value.

2016年購入のPCに入っていた2TBのSATA HDDのクローンをSamsung 990 PRO 2TBに作り、新しいPCに移行しました。MBR2GPTコマンドを使用する必要がありましたが、問題無く使えています。～MBR2GPTコマンドについて～クローン後、そのままの状態だと新しいPCで起動できません。なので別のPCを使ってMBR2GPTコマンドを実行し、GPT(GUID Partition Table)に変換したあと、再び新しいPCで起動するという手順が必要になってきます。

Ich suchte eine Lösung mit der ich Daten zuverlässig auf moderne Speicher wie NVMe SSDs übertragen kann ohne unnötigen Aufwand.📦 Erste Eindrücke & VerarbeitungDie Dockingstation wirkt sauber verarbeitet und macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Die Schächte sind gut zugänglich und sowohl für klassische SATA Festplatten als auch für M.2 NVMe SSDs geeignet. Besonders praktisch ist der integrierte klappbare Lüfter der sich bei Bedarf individuell ausrichten lässt.
