Often gift cards sold at local retailers have been compromised. After being burned too many times, the only way I purchase Amazon gift cards is through Amazon direct. Always a great choice for birthday gifts!

We have family out of state and they're all Amazon shoppers, even the teens. So these cards are perfect birthday gifts because you don't have to wrap a gift, pay for shipping it, or know what they even need or want! You do have to monitor the shipping time because some areas get shipments in more time than others. Just plan ahead. This way they get just what they want and I don't have to guess at it. I love this option and they seem to also!
