I didn't think I needed to open it to test it. Seeing it was brand new. Two months after the purchase, I cracked the box open and I tried to jack up the vehicle and I wouldn't raise more than four inches. As soon as the contact pad hit the lifting point on the vehicle. It just stopped rising.No matter how long you press the button. Come to find the allen set screw was not properly tightened. Works fine now.

Bought to replace place an old bottle jack in my pick up, but wanted something that would lift our rv as well as my husband and myself are getting older, I used it to level the rv this last weekend at our hunting lease and it not only lifted both wheels but it also lifted the front stands at the same time so was able to block all tires and jacks off the ground for rot and leveling. Did each side in no time. Would recommend, as well as you need some wood blocks if you are going to lift an rv as the height would cause some problems without them, I already had those just because the rv sits so high anyway.

I bought this jack to carry along in my Class C RV when I discovered no OEM jack was included with the Ford chassis. It only has to work once when that day comes when I experience a tire blowout. I did test it out to see if it could lift rear axle duals off the ground enough so I could change a flat tire. The jack will work for what I intend to use it for.

It last only 3 months, I only used it once a week the electric motor is burned out using the jack with 12vI was trying to contact the manufacturer but not luck.
