These are tough tires that hold a 300 pound guy and ride smooth! Mine last 2 years with a rotation. I’m on my 3rd pair and love them!

I fitted these to my wife's bike to stop her experiencing punctures.They look smashing on the rims and despite weekly punctures on the generic previous set, which came with the bike, these Continentals have had no punctures and have a nice grip. We live in a large town where the cycle lanes are bordered with thorny hedges. So puncture defence is a must.My wife says she feels a lot more safe using these.

At 40 psi hit a concrete corner, bottomed out the tire, no pinch flat or blowout. Rolls smooth and quiet on pavement, good traction cornering in dirt and gravel. Only complaint is width is narrower than advertised, caliper measurement of 35mm inflated width for a 700c 42mm (labeled 622-42) is exact same as a 38mm Panaracer Gravel King.

I have use these tyres on every electric bike I have had.Excellent on roads and paths.Excellent Puncture Resistant Built In.Well worth the money.

The tire was NOT 700 X 42, although that was what I ordered and it was printed in the tire. It was only 38mm wide once mounted and filled to recommended pressure.! So 4mm skinner than I wanted. Worse yet, I am leaving tomorrow for a bike trip, so don’t have the option of returning. @$&#$&#@@$$%#Deeply disappointed in Continental!

I gave these tires 5 stars for the following reasons:1) Installation: These tires were easy to install. I'm riding a Giant Roam 2 hybrid that came with 700x40 OEM tires. These Continentals installed just like you'd want, not too easy but not too hard. The additional 2 mm of the Continentals (700x42) on my bike are absolutely compatible.2) Ride Quality: On payment, these tires ride very smoothly, quietly, and comfortably. The tread pattern has a center bead that works much like a slick so that you have constant contact with the pavement when riding straight and level, resulting in very nice rolling characteristics. Because tread is relatively thick/deep, and the max inflation is 65 psi, the tires absorb small bumps. The outer tread looks to be designed for non-pavement use or enhanced corning, probably on light gravel and wet surfaces. I think you might want a more aggressive tread for more rigorous mountain biking. I typically ride on pavement but often ride the KATY trail (eastern MO) which is a light gravel or packed fine gravel. I fully anticipate that the tread pattern will be compatible with light gravel conditions.3) Performance: Even with the deeper tread and softer inflation, I did not notice any appreciable reduction in speed. I would also expect these tires to last a long time due to the tread depth and composition. I’m sure the tread depth, results in some top speed degradation, but the ride quality is so much better than thin/no treaded, high psi inflated, road tires.4) Puncture Resistance: On the lighter, thinner road tires that I had been using, I could feel every bump and I had three flats in the last year. Hopefully the design of these Continentals will eliminate future flats. Time will tell.I’m sure that there is some small weight penalty (if you’re counting every gram), and maybe the tread pattern, that might have some minor, negative impacts on top speed, but for me, the comfort, durability, and flat protection far out weigh any perceived negatives.Update: I took a ride on the Katy trail yesterday. The tires performed great on light gravel, soft clay, and even some uphill/downhill switchbacks that were more like trail riding. Thus far, I'm very pleased with the all round performance of these tires and would buy them again.
