The description says that these shorts are for bike riding, either in the mountains or road riding. I like the feel of them, good material, good fit. The issue is...I can't find what makes them riding shorts. They don't have any extra seat padding, they are not fitted for racing, they are just...shorts. For $52, I think they are overpriced for what you receive.For those reasons, 3 stars from me, I could take it or leave it.

On fit, they are a little snug (I'm a 35" waist and ordered a "L" - the stretch in the waist allows them to fit, but they are just a bit snug). But the design is nice, w/subtle color and pattern variations. They also have vented areas in the upper back and crotch. My favorite feature, though, is the pockets (two in the front, and an additional two zippered pockets in the back). I plan to use these on casual summer rides as something more casual/"regular clothes" looking than traditional biking shorts.

My husband is 5'9" and 180lbs and the size medium fits him well. These shorts are light weight with well designed 'breathability zones'. Just keep in mind that there is no inner 'basket' or lining so for the sake of others, underwear is recommended. These are stylish enough to wear for summer trail runs and hanging out after biking events.

The material is nice and they seem to have the potential of being good riding shorts. The two stars is for the extreme size discrepancy. They are way too small. I am 5'10", weigh 195, 34" waist or 35" very comfortably. I ordered a large (which falls exactly in my waist and hip measurements) and could barely zip them up. Way too tight to even place a somewhat modest photo here. They fit like spandex, really. I asked a friend to try them on. He is a couple of inches taller and a few pounds lighter, with a slimmer build than me. He was able to zip them up but, they were still too tight. Not comfortable to sit down, let alone go riding. Fix the sizing, and these would be really nice shorts.

Love these shorts. Very comfortable and look good when around other people and you don’t wanna wear tights. Add a pair of CR liner shorts, also very good, and you are set.

Ok, ok, so sometimes I don’t read descriptions as closely as I should, especially since I am an Amazon Vine reviewer. So I read “biker shorts” and I think “PADDED biker shorts”. Nope, no padding like all my other biking shorts. There are little vent holes in the seat area so there’s that. To top it off they are hand wash only. Sheesh. Of course they are going to get dirty and sweaty. It’s pretty inconvenient that you can’t through them in the wash. The style is nice and they are pretty comfortable but I likely won’t be using them for biking.

They fit a little snug, which I guess all cycling clothes do, but they are the most comfortable shorts I own! I wore them riding once with bib shorts (liner) under them and they were perfect! I'll never wear any other shorts while riding!
