As the title says I am new to the TPU game but am already a convert!I ordered this tube as a spare, so I haven't used it yet. I did inflate it (very gently) and it held air for days so it is ready to go.I will update this review once I actually install it and get some miles on it.Best wishes and happy cycling!

I have been a user of TPU tubes for several years. In my opinion, the light weight along with the fact that for me, TPU tubes are as resilient to punctures as any other tube, TPU is an obvious choice. Over the past couple of years, I have used RideNow tubes extensively and have also used Tubolito a couple of times. These Aerolite TPU tubes are at least equal in quality to RideNow and Tubolito in my opinion.These Aerolite TPU tubes do seem to have a slightly more rubbery feeling than the RideNow or Tubolito do. That is neither good nor bad, however, the more rubbery feeling seems to feel better than the more plastic feeling of the other tubes to me.One standout feature of these tubes are the valve stems. One of the weaknesses of early generation TPU tubes was questionable quality in and around the valve stem. Early generation TPU tubes used plastic in the valve stem and the core was not replaceable. The valve stem on these Aerolite tubes is completely metal in construction and has a removable core. The valve stem and core on these tubes is as good or better than I have seen in any tube. If you use one of the new electronic mini pumps, having a valve core and stem that is fully metal is a very good thing.Another very positive feature of these Aerolite tubes is the orange stripe on the tube. When installing a TPU tube, it is easy to get the tube twisted inside of the tire. Doing this will typically cause the tube to immediately fail on the first inflation. The presence of the orange stripe on the Aerolite tube makes installation incredibly easy.One caution is to not inflate the tube outside of the tire to more than 5lbs of pressure. This is clearly noted on a small label outside of the tube. Putting too much air into any TPU tube outside of a tire can cause the TPU tube to bulge out and will ruin the tube. If you like to put a small amount of air into the tube before installation (which I do), I will typically use my mouth to blow a small amount of air into the tube. This makes the tube significantly easier to install and by blowing into the tube, you will not be at risk of over-inflating and damaging the tube.

Valve stem measurements are a little short compared to other brands, but the rubber stopper/nut combo is great if you have a screw on pump because it prevents you from torquing the valve stem off of the tube.

I have a few of this brand and quite a few other brands of TPU tubes and I feel pretty good about these tubes. They are a bit more expensive, comparable to what you’ll find in the store but they have a few extra features that differentiate them from others. Whether they’re more reliable or not I can’t say yet.The valves are like a hybrid outer metal/inner plastic with a rubber seat similar to a tubeless valve and there is also a gasket that goes between the rim and the threaded nut that secures the valve to the rim. Most other generic TPU tubes don’t have this valve stem design. You actually might forget that you installed a TPU tube with this one because the stem looks just like a tubeless valve. As usual you do need to protect the base of the valve with either an extra sticker or cut your rim tape holes with a bit of material going into the hole to prevent the tube from rubbing on the valve stem hole.This tube specifically warns against using sealant so that’s a no no.Many TPU tubes come with patches, alcohol wipes, and tire levers but this just comes with a tube. It’s just as well since most people already have those things.Main things to note with install are 1) keep it straight and not twisted 2) inflate slightly before installing 3) wipe rim and tire interior to minimize debris inside tire 4) valve nut doesn’t need to be super tight 5) be careful when popping final section of bead on as this is where tube damage usually occursFinal note: if you’re looking for the lightest TPU tube this isn’t it as the extra valve hardware probably weighs a bit more but it might be a more reliable design.

These tubes are very very light - but at the same time, they seem to be tougher than any other TPU tubes or classic tubes that I've used. I love this because I live in a place where punctures are really common, and these things seem to bend a lot more before they let something poke through. I don't know the science, I just know that they tend to hold air a lot better with no leaks between rides. That's a lot of well spent dollars to get these tubes.

Real good TPU tube, it seems like.At first look it's a bit strange looking but that doesn't affect it's characteristics. I was a bit concerned about the valve and how it looked and the gasket but the design doesn't seem to affect it's use or which wheel it goes in (I just quickly attempted the valve through the hole in a few different wheels I had, out of curiosity).Very light, and the guideline seems to work really well. Not sure why other tubes don't have this.I don't use the nut that goes against the outside of the wheel so I didn't use the rubber spacer on that side, so I can't comment on that as I discarded it.But the nice rubbery spacer that goes through the hole is nice, probably very protective especially while putting it all on.The one I got was for a 700x28 tire, the tube size was 700x20-32c with the 75mm valve which fits perfectly through my carbon aero wheels.I also found the black valve stem's black color to nicely match everything.I have been changing tires for a long time but dread it nonetheless and this seemed to fit and stay in place (with a brief puff of air to fill it out a bit) as well as any TPU tube. No issue with it and it seems to be working great.
