I coach youth lacrosse and the frequently find myself needing to tape players sticks and typically athletic tape works well for this. This tape rips very nicely by hand and goes onto the stick ok but doesn’t have much lateral flex which results in some bunching when changing angles. Once applied it has a nice texture which provides good grip. However, while using the stick I’ve noticed the ends don’t stay as well adhered as other tapes I’ve used and it tends to want to curl back on itself.As athletic tape in general, this works well is very easy to apply and tears easily. And the lack of lateral flex which is a slight negative for stick tape is preferred to help support joints. Overall it’s a good value for the money.

I bought this three pack of CHMI athletic tape after my old roll mysteriously vanished at the climbing gym. One day it was in my bag. The next day a friend showed up with the exact same tape on his fingers and said it “just appeared.” Coincidence? Perhaps. Either way, I needed more.Out of the box you get three chunky rolls that look like little fabric donuts. The material feels like real cotton instead of that plasticky stuff that turns your skin into a slip’n’slide. It is latex free, which my skin appreciates. The serrated edges are the real hero. I can tear strips with my fingers mid workout without doing the awkward “hold the roll in your teeth and hope for the best” move. The tape stretches just enough to wrap knuckles and wrists, and it layers well. I used it for bouldering, then repurposed a strip to tame a flapping jump rope handle. Both survived a sweaty session.Adhesive strength is interesting. It is not the super glue kind that welds to your arm hair forever. It sticks well enough once you wrap it around itself a couple of times, especially on fingers and wrists, but it is not a single pass miracle. Think “clingy friend” rather than “stage five clinger.” The upside is that removal is a dream. I peeled it off after a long session and my skin did not feel like a wax strip commercial. No weird residue. No sticky black crumbs.There are two quirks. First, instructions. None. The packaging offers all the guidance of a mysterious treasure map that just says “good luck.” If you are new to taping, you will be on YouTube learning figure eights and herringbones like you are studying for a very niche exam. Second, if you are expecting adhesive that grips bare skin fiercely on a single wrap, this is not that. Wrap over itself for best results. Once it is anchored, it holds fine through sweat.Value wise, the rolls are long and generous. After several weeks I still have enough tape left to mummify a medium sized forearm. The color is a stealthy black that does not announce itself in photos, which I like.Bottom line: Solid cotton tape for climbing, gymnastics, and general gym shenanigans. Easy to tear, comfortable, and leaves skin clean. Adhesive is moderate, so plan on overlapping wraps for secure hold. Add a quick search for taping techniques and you are good to go. I would buy again, but I’ll keep an eye on my gym buddies this time.

I very happy with this grippy sports wrap it's excellent sports tape with No messy residue or grimy leftovers to clean up, sticks well temporarily and provides the grip and protection for many activities, affordably priced is a good value.

It's tape so it earned 2 stars. Adhesive is gumming like duct tape and hard to tare. Leaves a residue on your skin. Very stiff and hard to wrap. Maybe for boxing gloves but nothing else

Functions as expected. It is athletic tape. It stuck when I wanted it to, and it peeled away when I needed it to. That is about the expectation, and this tape met the brief.Specifics: I recently started taping 2 fingers, a thumb, and wrist on my right arm when I play hockey. This tape made me feel the same as the prior roll I picked up at Long's, but at a lower price, so no complaints. I wasn't told to wrap by a doc or PT. I just felt some pain and vibration and decided to start wrapping there, and it felt better with tape... so I keep wrapping. As long as I don't actively think about those fingers discomfort during games... I see no reason to change the habit.
