First off, I have combination skin, and if I don’t keep it in check, I’m either looking like a greasy mess or a desert. Enter this cleanser, which I’m now obsessed with.It has 2% salicylic acid, which is like a miracle for keeping breakouts at bay — and it works! After using it for a couple of weeks, my skin is smoother and the oily spots? Gone. Like magic. I also love that it has a gentle lather, so my face doesn’t feel stripped or tight, which is always a concern with acne-fighting cleansers. It’s just the perfect balance.Now, here’s the funny part: The first time I used it, I accidentally squirted WAY too much of the product out (because apparently I’m a professional at wasting skincare). I had foam up to my elbows, looked like a mad scientist in the bathroom, and honestly could’ve lathered a whole other person’s face. But, lesson learned — a little goes a long way, and it’s totally worth every drop. 😂So, yeah, I’m officially hooked. If you have oily or breakout-prone skin and need something that actually works, get this cleanser. Your face will thank you. (And maybe keep a towel nearby to avoid my foam disaster.)

Product arrived unboxed and unsealed. Out of the Amazon envelope, it was a bottle with no protection on the nozzle and the bottle looks used. I love DCL products, I've used them for years, but I'm very Leary about using opened bottles regardless of where they come from.

I love this cleanser! I especially appreciate that it has both Salicylic acid and lactic acid. It comes in a nice size bottle, so it won't get used too fast, and the pump works well, administering just a small amount. It foams up well, so I don't feel like I need to use a lot. It has a pleasant, subtle scent, and doesn't sting my eyes. I actually have dry skin, so I was worried something marked "mattifying" wouldn't be the best for me, but I haven't noticed any dryness from using this. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean, but not stripped. I have acne problems, controlled at the moment with the use of many actives, and this is acting as an excellent part of my routine. I have very sensitive skin, and this hasn't created any irritation or made me break out. I highly recommend it and plan to purchase more.

I've been using this product for about seven years now. It's super easy on the skin, and it does not cause any dryness. I love it and would highly recommend it for people with combination/oily skin.

This product did not do wonders for me. No indictment on the product; it could just be my hormonal skin. On the other hand, my mom took over my half-used tube and ended up ordering three more tubes over the next few months! She has oily skin, and this product offers a matte finish, while fighting her adult acne. Mom recommends.

My dermatologist recommended this product for my oily, acne prone skin and I love it. I use twice daily and it leaves my skin soft and moisturised but almost squeaky clean. No residue feel after use like some other cleansers I used before. I find only a small amount is needed so I have been using the same tube for almost three months now and it's not finished yet. Keeps oiliness at bay very well and even shrinks my pores visibly. My routine is this cleanser followed by a Paula's Choice BHA exfoliant and Elta MD sunscreen in the day and the cleanser followed by Elta MD moisturiser and prescription creams at night and in the last few months, my skin has been much improved. Old acne scars have faded significantly and I have gotten no new breakouts to speak of. For makeup removal, I do not depend fully on the cleanser and use micellar water to remove makeup prior to using it.

The bottle did not have a box or seal, so was a bit nervous using this. But it isn't a bad product overall. It doesn't strip your skin off of all hydration and leaves it somewhat moisturized after use, but also gets you nice and clean. No sticky or tacky feeling after the fact. A small amount of the cleanser is enough to get your whole face and neck, so the bottle will last you a while. Still though, think it is overpriced for what it is. And it does have some fragrance attached to it, so if you're sensitive to smells or need a 100% fragrance-free product, this is not for you. But otherwise, if you're suffering from acne/breakouts etc. and want to try something new, this might be a choice.
