I haven't had Sweey Sue Chicken & Dumplings in many years, and I remember it fondly. Thick flat dumpling noodles and good-sized chicken pieces in a creamy sauce - it was delicious comfort food. When I saw it was available on Amazon, I was excited to order some.What a disappointment. What they now sell is a sad, awful excuse for chicken and dumplings: really thick clumps of tasteless "dumplings," tiny chicken bits, the size of Kibbles 'n Bits, and thin, tasteless broth. My anticipation for the Sweet Sue of the past was crushed - extremely disappointing!The label says "CONTAINS BIOENGINEERED FOOD INGREDIENTS" - no kidding! Neither the description nor the product label shown on the Amazon listing displays this, but the attached photo does.

This is just plain old comfort food for a 11-year-old whose parents are going through a divorce. As an adult and knowing how to cook there's no comparison. Adding a bag of frozen peas give it a little more nutritional value. But there's no way I could eat this 3 times a week now unlike when I was a pre-teen. It could be good for camping I guess. But it still tastes like I remembered it.

Some hate it. I love it. I cleaned out all the stores around and keep buying it off Amazon. I add a little water for more broth and bust up the dumplings a bit. Add some salt and pepper or whatever if you like.

Flavor is wonderful, only tiny bits of chicken.Added a can of drained chicken breast....also frozen peas.Let simmer.Made a nice and easy serving for dinner.Good to have on hand.

I used to really like Sweet Sue's chicken and dumplings these are a little bit different it seems like the chicken or smaller pieces but the dumplings are the same and it did seem like it was a little more watery than when I ordered it last winter I just pour a little of the water off and sometimes I like to put some peas and carrots in mind but it's still good I mean that the dumplings are really good with the chicken pieces aren't like they used to be there in little small Chucks and it didn't used to be that way I mean why would they change something that was already good you know why do you want to change it when it's not better change you know what I mean
