I regularly purchase Ginger People ginger products. I love to cook with the minced ginger (soups, salad dressings, teas) and I use the shredded ginger with sushi - it's some much easier to eat than the shaved version with sushi! Try it! No artificial colors or sweetners. Both the minced and the shreds are delicious and easy to use. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I used this minced ginger to make chicken dumpling soup. It is pretty easy and using this ginger saves a lot of work! It didn't make the soup taste overly sweet and the flavor was about the same as using fresh ginger.I made the soup with 6 teaspoons chicken base, 7 cups water (3 16.9 fluid ounce bottles), 2 tablespoons reduced sodium Tamari, 2 tablespoons Mirin, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder or granules, 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger, 1/4 cup sliced bok choy stems, 2 T dried mushrooms soaked for a few hours (or even 10 minutes) before using and 1/4 cup sliced green onions. Then I boiled 12 frozen chicken and leek dumplings in the soup until done (10 or so minutes at boiling) which reduces the stock a little. Also I garnished with more sliced green onion tops!I'm happy I now have this ginger to use in other recipes too. It does save time!~The Rebecca Review
