This was amaz..texture of the pasta was great, flavor of sauce was very good. I adapted the directions to suit the rice cooker..used equal parts water and whole milk. Added 2 tbl butter and set it on fast cook. Stirred several times to keep the pasta loose..once the pasta was nearly done I added the cheese pot, a bit of cream cheese, and a can of drained and flajed tuna. Let it cook just a bit more and it was perfect.. one pot, really no watching..just great mac n chz. My husband, 90 and homebound, kept saying 'this is really good' he's happy and I'm happy too. Great stuff!

I'm a Marconi and Cheese snob. A restaurant (PB) is the best. I can't simply replicate it. This brand is the closest by far, just reserve a little pasta water to smooth out the cheese sauce

I always loved Pasta Roni over all other brands of boxed noodle dinners. Shells and white cheddar, garlic & olive oil vermicelli. The best stuff.But the best brand of macaroni & cheese products didn't have a standard elbows & cheese... UNTIL NOW.Or at least not that I knew about. It turns out if you trace the (Pasta/Rice-a)-roni(tm) company way back, this was one of their oldest products they stopped making long ago. Well, now it's back and everything I hoped it would be. I'm going to empty out my linens closet and fill it with this stuff.

I have the white cheddar option. WOAH, unexpectedly delicious. I like it as much or maybe better than Annie's.There is a generous amount of pasta. Like plenty to share, or if really hungry, it makes for a nice giant bowl of tasty comfort.I never follow directions completely. I boiled the noodles, drained it most of the way. I wanted them a little sloppy since I didn't plan to use liquid milk. I used powdered milk. I added in some butter and the powder packet. Gave it a quick stir before shoveling it into my mouth.I dont know if using powdered milk over liquid ilk makes a differenceI didnt plan to eat the whole thing, but i couldnt stop. Something about the texture drew me in, and the not artificial flavor. You know how some boxed mac and cheese have terrible thin pasta that cooks up soggy? These are nice firm noodles. And again, the resulting flavor isnt artificial to me.I'm impresses and will likely buy more.

I actually bought this Simply Mac-A-Roni Variety Pack, White Cheddar + Three Cheese, 8.2 Oz (Pack of 6).Boxed Mac-n-Chees is always a pantry staple at our house. great for when we get snowed in.Turns out we only liked half of what's in this Varity Pack. We totally loved the Three Cheese flavor.Sadly, that White Cheddar flavor seemed much too bland and flavorless to us.THE GOOD STUFF:- Both flavors are pretty easy to make.- Normal sized Elbow Macaroni is used, which is really nice! No tiny mac's!- The 3 packages of the Three Cheese flavor are pretty darn tasty. (Unlike the 3 flavorless White Cheddar packages).- 1 Package makes enough for 2 hungry people!- Nice to have on-hand in the Panty or store room.THE NOT AS GOOD STUFF:- The White Cheddar Packages are extremely BLAND! I'm talkin' LIKE NO Cheddar flavor at all!- Not as quite healthy as I had hoped, but better that most other brands.Conclusion:We really love the Three Cheese Flavored ones.We totally DO NOT like the very bland White Cheddar Flavor ones.We wish there was an option to just buy a 6-pack of the yummy Three Cheese Flavor!So for us, we won't be buying this Varity Pack again because we DISLIKE the White Cheddar Flavor ones!
