I love this brand. Have tried a few other clam powder but this is the best because it doesn’t cloudy the broth. They changed the packaging so it doesn’t look like the picture but taste is the same. Highly recommend this brand!

Enh... This doesn't really taste all that much like clams from the ocean. To me, it was difficult to tell the difference from a typical chicken broth. Yes, there is a bit of "seafood" or ocean flavor -- sort of. I bought this to boost the flavor of something like oyster stuffing, and it didn't really do that very well. I thought I would get something like oyster or clam nectar you'd find in a container of fresh shellfish. This is more like what you'd get from the liquid in a can of chopped or minced clams.As a test, I made a cup of broth -- 1 cup boiling water with 1 tsp of this powder. I let it cool enough to sip or drink. The result was quite salty, actually, and again, reminded me more of chicken broth. Not exactly the same, but definitely not easily noticeable as "clam" broth.That being said, I also made some jasmine rice in a rice cooker. To the water I added 1 tsp of this clam powder, Plus maybe 1/2 tsp of mushroom soup powder (Lee Kum Kee). THAT was amazing!I then thought I could amplify the "ocean" flavor a little and made another cup of broth with 1 tsp of this powder. However; I also added a little bit of oyster sauce. That very much increased the "shellfish" or iodine flavor, but it was a little off-putting using the oyster sauce that way.All in all, this is okay. I likely wouldn't buy it again, but since it does a bangin' good job on the jasmine rice, all is not lost! I'll stick with canned oysters for the stuffing, though, or fresh oysters if I can afford them.
