Vinyl hoses are always a disappointment. The kinking and splitting are inevitable. The rubber hoses are great but very heavy. I was reluctant to buy anything other than rubber but I thought I give this hybrid a shot. Very pleased with the product. It is lightweight, kink free, flexible, and durable. This is my second purchase of the same product to replace a second hose.

So far so good, but price is a bit steep for a 5 footer. 😬

Works as advertised. Connected both ends and water flows through it. No leaks. The only minor complaint I have is the price for the 5 foot leader, at just under $30 it seemed a bit high. Regardless of the price, we did need it to connect to our house reel leader, as it was just a bit out of reach.Will update if any issues arise.

If you want a cheap hose, order the cheapest hose. You'll be buying another one in a few weeks when it splits.If you want a good hose, buy a giraffe hose. They last me years. The hose itself is tough stuff, the fittings are top quality, and they even include extra gaskets. I would not call them kink resistant, all hoses in my experience will kink, but the quality is there in this one. I don't even bother to shut off the water at the spigot, just let the shutoff be the nozzle, the hose will handle the pressure just fine.

This leader hose is well-made and very functional. The only problem we have had is that it leaks at the hose bib. We actually ruined the first one trying to get it to stop leaking. This time we put two O-rings in and that solved the problem. The manufacturer might want to provide a thicker O-ring or instructions to use two.
Avoid.

Over the last two years I have gradually replaced four old stiff vinyl hoses with these Giraffe products, and I now have one hose to service each side of my Florida property. Lengths 25ft, 2x 50ft; 75ft. For simplicity, I use wall holders that do not utilize a mechanical reel. I find it easy to loop these hoses over the wall holders. They are flexible, light, kink resistant, and easy to loop. I consider them a very good product.
