I was half expecting to send it back within a day. It has a lot of functions so give these Chinese guys a break, the instructions were never going to be great. After successfully completing the install I can honestly say it is a fantastic piece of kit and best value for money.Tips: it won’t join your network if you run on 5ghz - I use BT Whole-home so I was able temporarily disable 5ghz long enough to install - then it remained at the frequency; connect your phone to the camera, then you can connect WiFi. You can view it 4G on your phone. Picture quality is configurable but HD is superb. Zoom and optics fantastic. And wait till you see full colour at night without ANY supporting lighting. Oh and before I forget, make sure when you fix the bracket, to leave the reset switch dangling (it is waterproof so no worries). SD card is actually a micro SD, but I won a 128Gb SD on a scratch card that came with the camera. Delivery was next day, so no waiting 6 weeks to come from China. Actual picture of my front garden.

I have owned this camera for over a year. This camera features superb night vision, very high resolution (4K), and excellent manual or autofocus 20X optical zoom and a whole host of other features. With this camera I can read license plate numbers from over a city block away even at night. To read license plates at night, you will to adjust the exposure to minimum, but it works great and is very readable . If you do it, be sure to adjust the exposure back to “normal” after reading the plate as that exposure level is not suitable for normal night vision. The built in microphone is also sensitive and it even has a speaker built into to allow you to talk from within your PC or cellphone.In my situation, I set up my camera as a WiFi IP camera, though it can be set up as a wired camera through an Ethernet link cable. However, merely powering up my installed camera and connecting it to my wireless router proved futile in my situation due to the distance involved between it and my WiFi router in my living room. I could only wirelessly connect directly to my camera from my cell phone by using the CTronics Android app. You have to search for the camera using the broadcasted WiFi signal from within your cellphone's WiFi connection function. Once you do that, the CTronics app works great. This camera also works with a number other free apps available in the Google Ptaystore or Apple.Now here are the steps anyone needs to perform to connect CTronis camera to your wireless router if you are in the same situation I was in where the camera's signal WiFi signal was too weak due to distance and other factors.1. Purchase a Linksys or equivalent WiFi extender and make sure it has 2.4 GHz wireless capability. These cost about 50 bucks on Amazon.2. Plug the WiFi extender into an AC outlet near your camera inside the house, but not too close. In my two story house, the 2nd floor landing atop the stairs proved adequate.3. Configure the WiFi extender for 2.4 GHz wireless functionality.4. Using the direct WiFi connection from your cellphone to the camera by searching for the camera from with within your phone’s WiFi menu. In this mode, the camera itself operates as its own sort of WiFi router. Then open the Ctronics app and connect to the camera. Then from within the Ctronics app menu, read the IP address of the camera, and then write it down. It will be 192.168.1.XX . I don’t know if all CTronics wireless cameras use the same default IP address.5. Open a Google or Mozilla browser on your cellphone and type http://192.168.1.XX for a web address. Your browser will bring you to a blue menu where you are prompted for "ADMIN" and "PASSWORD. The default is "admin" and "admin" respectively, or what ever you set from the CTronics Android app.6. Once in the CTronics camera settings. Click on the "Settings" tab on the upper left.7. Click on the "Network" function.8. Click on the "Wireless" function from with the "Network" menu.9. Click search.10. Select the WiFi router host you just set up with your WiFi extender's 2.4 GHz signal. In most cases it will be the same as your current WiFi router but with an "_EXT" at the end of it.11. Once that is accomplished, connect your cellphone WiFi to that same 2.4 GHz signal of your WiFi extender. Please note that the WiFi extender will change the IP address of your camera when it re-broadcasts your camera signal.12. Now open the Ctronics app on your cellphone and search for the search for that camera. It will find the camera and you will now be able to operate and configure it from that app using the direct connection routed through your WiFi router extender device.13. From within the Android Ctronics app, look up the new IP address that your WiFi extender reassigned for that camera and write it down.Now that you have that new IP address, you can now operate that camera from any PC, Android, or Apple device from your home WiFi address using any internet browser or Blue Iris software that I highly recommend. I also recommend that you go back into the camera settings and change the camera's time zone to your particular time zone because the default one is set to China. I highly recommend Blue Iris primarily because it allows you to use digital zoom that combines very well with it’s optical zoom.

The Ctronics 5MP 30X Optical Zoom Security Camera has excellent image quality, and the zoom is truly impressive. The auto-cruise and human detection features work well most of the time, but the tracking could be better—if someone walks quickly, the camera struggles to keep up and may lose them. I own THREE 295-C and ONE 550-C Ctronics cameras. They are good cameras with some caveats. The 295-C shows a Bit Rate of 1536, and the 550-C has a lower Bit Rate of 1024, the bit rate shows in the VIDEO section of settings on your iphone. The bit rate cannot be changed, the camera chooses the BIT RATE. All four CAMERAS are administered on my iphone 14 and IPAD MINI 5. The 550-C comes with 2 antennas and as such, has what i perceive as a stronger connectivity to my 2.4ghz WIFI SYSTEM (better for penetrating walls and i think easier on the human body). but the video is slightly less quality due to reduced Bit Rate. The 550-C has a white light that comes on when its alarm is activated and video starts shooting, the 295-C does not. The 550-C is better with iPhone notifications as well. What i have learned is the following: (1) replace all power supplies with 3amp and toss the 2 amp... the 2 amp is too weak, burns out in a couple of months and causes pixelization in the video at twilight or at times of weak outdoor lighting, the 3 amp does not. (2) I have found that each camera works better at least one foot from my house (see attached photos), as there is less WIFI issues, BUT... you should get a WIFI REPEATER for each camera. If a plug outlet innyour home is not close to a camera for connectivity, then run an extension cord and tape the REPEATER close to the camera inside your house. The [camera] and [repeater] should be placed as close to the "same height" as possible for good connectivity. These cameras come with a WIFI MANAGER showing you the WIFI strength at each camera to each REPEATER. Try and give each camera a 94% to 100% connectivity WIFI % number, as 75% to 89% will lose connectivity. I have had reason o deal with Ctronics by email and they have been excellent, a real standup company that cares for their customers. I recently dealt with SOPHIE at Ctronics and she was excellent. I feel their cameras are excellent with huge optical zoom (not crappy digital zoom) and they offer this with a high quality SONY IMX335 CMOS IMAGE SENSOR. (3) always keep camera on the HD setting not SD, this setting is set down in the right corner of your phone or ipad, big difference in quality of video

Jag har haft denna kamera i ca 1,5 år och mycket nöjd med både funktioner och kvalitet. Jämfört med tidigare inköpta billigare varianter är denna kamera väl värd pengarna. Jag kan inte hitta något jag är missnöjd med. Bildkvalitet och den optiska zoomen överträffar förväntningarna. Snabb leverans och välpackad i stötdämpande låda. Lägg därtill en fantastiskt snabb och kunnig supportpersonal (stort tack Eric), så förstår ni varför jag ger 5 stjärnor.

Die Kamera funktioniert seit Installation zuverlässig, die Installation über die APP war in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Gute Bildqualität und vielfältige Funktionen.Zunächst gab es ein Problem bei der Anzeie der Streams im Windwos client, der Mitarbeiler Elnum im Centronics Support hat mir hierbei sehr schnell und kompetent weitergeholfen - danke!

Remplacement de la caméra en 24 heures. Je tiens à féliciter la qualité du service après vente remarquable. Réactivité en un temps record, professionnalisme et échange.
