Absolute garbage! Caveat Emptor!!

The Alfred door lock I received was for my daughter's house, and was to be her birthday present. Upon opening the item, the screen was scratched and the lock would not operate. When she opened it this weekend and got it installed by a carpenter, she was dismayed to find a used item that didn't work, and was no longer able to be returned as one week past the 30 days!!!Now she has to manually lock the deadbolt and access her house thru the back door with a key!Thought Alfred would back their product, and this item should be able to be returned!Rocky

Arrived looking scratched already but a good value at $99

Good deal on sale for $99 and a z-wave enabled lock however like another review noted the plastic keypad arrived scratched looking and it was still in the protective film. Looks used or had a rough time in the factory before the protective film was put in place.Note I did not remove / fully remove the plastic till it was mounted so the scratches are not from me this is how it looked under the film.There is also a bit of a delay for touch activation of the keypad which seems to frustrate some family members requiring more than one attempt to wake it.Z-wave smart start worked well and was able to add it to Home Assistant via Z-Wave JS easily

Love the lock! I could connect it to Ring alarm system via ZWave, now I can use Alfred, Ring and Alexa to control the lock remotely without a WiFi bridge.

Purchased this for a new home I recently moved into but no one liked it. It looked great but no one liked the keypad. Also it wasn't always able to relock the door due to a 'non-perfect' alignment. I ended up replacing it with a Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt, it's easier for everyone to use and always relocks.

The scratches make me think it might have been used. I'll install it tomorrow and update the reviewUpdated:The scratches are not visible after mounting. I have to say I'm imprressed easy setup except for increasing the hole diameter. Z-wave paired with my Ring Alarm and gave access to Alexa everything works I don't need the wifi bridge so I saved money there. I really like it and for 100 dollars its great. Only 4 stars because of the scratchesUpdated:There was a very fine protective cover on the display hard to see. This means there are really no scratches five starsUpdate:I bought 2 more and installed them with out a problem
