Very happy with this mini PC. The price is amazing for what you get. I don't need a gaming machine, just a capable home PC that didn't break the bank. I use mostly Apple devices at home but Windows PC at work, and there are some things I still like doing at home on a Win PC. This fits the bill beautifully.It arrived quickly, appears to be well made, and started up without a problem when I connected it to my TV as a monitor and a usb keyboard with trackpad. Minimal configuration required to get going - I had taken the precaution of creating a Microsoft account first, which I suspect is a smoother process than not having one. Performance is fine for what I need - Office apps, web browsing, YouTube and Spotify. I'll be doing some programming with it and can't see that it'll be any problem. Highly recommended.

This review is for non-techies who want to use this small computer for low key Win 11 operation like docs and web surfing. The good news is that it can replace a desktop and runs a Win 11 setup out of the box without any modification.A problem for non-techies is that the little manual that comes with the computer is mostly in Chinese and has no quick start instructions that are obvious. Here is a quick start for getting going with Win 11:You'll need to have a mouse and keyboard that connect to the USB ports on the computer. Bluetooth won't work yet. These can be hard wired or with the wireless chip ("dongle") that plugs into the USB port. Either way, plug those in. There are 4 USB ports on the computer.Connect your monitor to the computer with the supplied HDMI cable or with a Displayport cable (if you have that and can't use HDMI)Connect the power plug to the computer, and plug the other end into an AC outlet.Push the computer power button to on. The power button is right below the Dreamquest logo.Assuming your monitor is on, the Windows registration screen should come up and your mouse and keyboard should work.Go through the Win 11 registration.Some hints about the registration:You get asked if you want to install Windows security including Windows defender. I would.You get asked if you want to migrate your microsoft apps and settings from another computer . If you have a microsoft account this is a good idea, but be aware that the only apps brought over are the ones you got through the microsoft store. Other app names will come in the app list with a message to install them.You get asked if you want to install Microsoft One (Cloud) drive. That's up to you if you want to use that.When the Windows registration is complete, the first thing to do is run all the security. Some of these take a long time and you don't want your computer to go to sleep in the middle. So go to settings from the start button, then System, then Power. Set the sleep time out to never (change this back if you'd like when everything is done).Go to the all apps list from the Start button and choose Windows Security. First open Virus and Threat Protection updates and dun the update check. On my computer the last update was 5 years ago. Make sure you have an update no more than a week old.After the update, go to scan options near the top and run full scan. This may take an hour.Look at all the Windows Security features and follow up on anything that doesn't have a check mark.Now you can take a look at your apps that are actually installed and decide if you want to buy new copies of ones your want, or do online subscriptions. If you use Edge and chose to port MS apps, it likely also imported your passwords.You have a lot of personal work to set up the screen the way you like it, but that's independent of the computer.The computer is fast and has an excellent video display. It takes 25 seconds to boot from the hibernate mode.I'm sure there are some things I missed here, but hopefully this info will help.The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 are two fold: First, the lack of a good quick start document in the package and second, the Windows install must be a very old one because the computer needs to do an enormous number, around 10, updates. These downloads slow down the computer for the first few days of operation. These are way more updates than should be expected.Still the computer works extremely well and, even with its small size can completely replace a desktop. It is totally quiet, no fan, gets a bit warm to the touch, but not hot. I've been pleasantly surprised with it.

I was looking for options to a tablet with keyboard and monitor, a laptop with monitor, or an all-in-one PC to downsize as a result of retirement and worsening vision due to 30 years in front of multiple monitors. I came across the mini PC by mistake when looking at a slim PC that could hook on the back of a monitor. I had no idea these lil fellas existed! I did some research with PCMag and another website. This was the third most recommended mini PC. I read several Amazon reviews for the top 3 and decided on the DreamQuest because the cons that were listed by other reviewers were something I could handle. The main examples were not giving enough time for all updates and logging into an existing Windows account, instead of setting up a new account. Ultimately, the DreamQuest was the better price of the 3, so it was what I purchased. The PC arrived the next day, I hooked up 2-24" monitors (1-HDMI, 1-Display Port), but I have not attempted a 3rd monitor which other reviews say both it can and cannot be done. Boot up and Wi-Fi connectivity was immediate. I had to restart twice for all updates and I DID NOT use my current Windows 365 account at the time of set-up. I went back later and added it with no problems. When attempting a Zoom I realized I had no audio with the DreamQuest, so I ordered $25 Bluetooth speakers with a built-in mic and they worked right out of the box with no problem. Boot up and shut down are seamless. I've only used it for Zoom and online activities, but with no problems. It doesn't make any noise whatsoever.

Great little PC for home use

Was skeptical at first but glad I stuck with my purchase. This PC is great for home and office use. Very quiet and easy to install. Not recommended for heavy gaming with high graphic usage, but most web based games should run fine. For the price and ability to connect 3x 4K monitors at 60Hz is amazing value.
