Awesome mini pc. It’s super small. Boots pretty quick. And runs extremely fast. I use it as a server and run a Minecraft server on it and it uses about all its power and it runs super cool and doesn’t get hot

I had purchased another mini computer and it kept locking up and freezing and I ordered this in the meantime but after the first one had my doubts about mini computers. I used to run my own tech company where I built my own line ofcomputers and I sold over 10,000 of them so I know computers. The day I received this one I reset the original one, boxed it up and completed a return to Amazon. I then hooked this up and it was effortless to have it set up Windows and download the apps I use for the different programs. After running it for multiple hours I haven't even heard the fan running or come on. The one I received was the Ryzen 6900, 32g, 1 TB. It has operated flawlessly and I'm running many programs which have a lot of graphics and heavy duty analysis. So far I am happy with the purchase and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly contrary to another remark I saw and I have this hooked up to ethernet just for whatever. I think it's worth what they're asking, but I just caught this on sale one day for $435 which in my opinion is a pretty good bargain. So far so good and I need just that for what I do. The case appears well engineered and designed for air flow. This is a powerhouse computer for cheap. The USB hook ups are few, just 4 but there is also a multi device c port. That should be more than enough for most people.

It works good, I replaced the built-in OS with a windows 10 deployment, good for doing low power stuff (running Winamp or file transfers). If you want to keep it cooler, I would suggest getting a USB or similar fan and then power it from a plug, then open it, leave it open and put that on top of. Figuring out the right sized fan is up to the end user if more active use is expected, and one knows what they're doing.

This R5 3550H mini PC came from Origimagic and was priced at $230 when ordered. A coupon for a price of $180 was available at the time of review, a price I find more on point for the hardware in this PC.This PC is suited for basic PC tasks; like office programs, web browsing, streaming videos or play light games at 720p. The system came with a “custom modified” version of windows 11 pro. As with any chinese mini PC, replacing the included OS with a copy of windows downloaded from microsoft directly is strongly advised.We replaced the OS with OpenMediaVault, plugged a 24TB hard drive into it via the USB 3.0 type C connection, and are using the systems as a local NAS. It works as desired and we are happy.The AMD processor has 4 cores and clocked to 3.7ghz in both 15w and 25w power modes. The bios maybe the most basic I have ever seen, the only performance tuning that can be done is changing the power profile from 15w to 25w. You can not adjust the ram timings which are set at 2400 (very low). Even if you bought new ram, you would not be able to clock it past 2400… so you are stuck with slow ram no matter what.An extra pcie gen 3 2280 m.2 slot is available for easy ssd storage expansion. The included 512gb ssd was suprisingly fast (speed test results in photos).While in 25w mode under full load, the systems fan could be heard, but it was quite enough that it shouldn't bother anyone. I didn't observe any high temps during testing, so the cpu cooler is adequate for the job.The I/O includes three USB 3.0 type A ports, one 2.0 type A port, one 3.0 type C port, a head phone jack, and two rj45 (ethernet) plugs. Be aware, running two ethernet cables will not double your internet speed, only increase the band width so you can do a gig up and one down simultaneously. You can not do 2 gigs download, it doesn't work like that. The dual ethernet is great for mini home servers or NAS duty, but not much use for normal PC duty.Overall this is a good enough mini PC and I would take its performance over any chromebook, any day of the week. Pictures from a basic teardown are included, along with images of the branding for the replaceable components.
