I didn't see anywhere that battery wasn't included. We bought to put in the Christmas shoe boxes for Samaritan's purse. We installed battery and they worked fine.

Not sure how you can call a calculator solar is you have to have a battery in order for it to work. I could have bought true solar calculator for less money since now I have to buy batteries that were not included in the price when purchased.
