I didn't even know these type of HDMI extenders existed until I saw this come across on Amazon vine. It was the perfect solution to my outdoor projector, I hate having to bring my computer outside and plug it in right next to the projector when my family has an outdoor movie night. This extender solved that problem perfectly and allows me to also plug in my TV box so i can even watch TV outdoors. Its easy to set up and you can just set it and forget it once its there.

I've had it on the back of my mind for some time that I would like to use part of my shed as a "man cave" some day. Because of that, I took the time to run power to it, and hang a decent TV up on the wall along with a Blu-Ray player. I don't have my TV signal run here because I didn't want to either run coaxial across the ground or try to dig another trench (I messed up not running it with the power, didn't think ahead). I did plan on eventually splitting the coax in my house and trenching a run out to the shed, but it's a good 60 feet and it's a lot of work to run a cable. It was a "someday" thing. Then this popped up and I thought, no way it'll work.I was pleasantly surprised with not only how easy this was to set up, but also that it worked perfectly through two walls and over my yard all the way back to my shed! Setup was a breeze, I used an HDMI splitter in my living room so I could run a line into the transmitter. I then put the receiver in the shed and hooked its HDMI out to the TV out there. BAM, instantly worked. Didn't have to do anything special. And since I'm just running a split from my TV, I don't have to do anything else except change the input on my TV from BLU-RAY to the HDMI1 port. The only real downside is that I am forced to watch what6ever is on in the house, but that's specific to my situation and not a knock on the product. It's not a set top box replacer, just a transmitter/receiver. And it works AWESOME for that!I fully expected this product to be a gimmick and only work a room or two over. Maybe 30 feet. Maybe less. I have no idea how far it will transmit, but it hits my shed with no signal degradation that I can see. I might play around some with the multiple display output capability, take the yard tools out, and make the shed into a full blown game day center with multiple TVs and a bar! This thing is AWESOME and I HIGHLY recommend it!

The signal strength is wild. It uses dual antennas and 5GHz Wi-Fi, and I’ve had it transmitting through two walls without a single hiccup. I used this HDMI transmitter and receiver set to send video from my home office computer to a media room about 40 ft away through 3 drywall walls. The setup was plug and play and the video quality is perfect.In the box you will find a transmitter and receiver, 2 HDMI cables and a USB C video cable if needed. There are two USB C power cables and one USB AC Adapter with both European and US plugs. It is assumed that you will have USB power for the sending end from a computer or other source so only one AC adapter is provided. Any USB C power source that provides 5 volts at 2 amps will work of needed.You do need two cables for both receiver and transmitter. One for video signal and one for power because HDMI cannot provide enough power to operate the transmitter radio. There was no configuration necessary. When I got the video and power cables connected it just worked. Apparently you can use up to 4 receivers with one transmitter if you need that functionality.This is very high quality equipment and it is not inexpensive. I am only using about 40 feet of range but it can reach up to 800 meters or 2600 feet. That is almost half a mile. I have not tried sending a video signal through concrete or metal walls. I assume the range would be reduced for those situations.
