It does exactly what it says and works fairly well, only down side is each side needs a power source, so you need a USB port on each device to power the signal, if you have that it works just as expected. This is 1080p only, so this will not push 4k, it will work on 4k devices, but you will lose quality, just FYI.If you need to cast a signal across room and don't want to run cables, this is a great option, set up is a hair more than a normal al hdmi cable, but still easy to do.

Finally, no more messy HDMI cord running along the wall! This replaced my long cable run perfectly and works without any lag. Due to the design of my living room setup, I had to have an eyesore setup until now. The great bonus is that it actually enabled screen mirroring for me, which wasn't an option previously. Simple to set up and works exactly as advertised, truly plug and play. My DVD player and TV have a smooth and reliable wireless connection, without a hiccup. Unbelievable bang for the buck!

I travel a lot and always there seems to be a large-screen TV in hotel rooms though just as often “there is nothing good on” or, at least, not at the times – which is seldom – that I have available to watch. I thought this would be the solution since I always travel with my small laptop and/or notebook/tablet. After ordering, this was delivered well-packaged and in perfect condition the very next day, which was great since I had to leave again the day after that.This product is certainly as advertised. They are very easy to use: plug and play and no apps or drivers or anything like that needed. My portable devices had no problem recognizing the TX transmitter and I have yet to have a TV not work with the RX receiver. As the Amazon item description says and the pix there show, they do need to be plugged in. They draw power via USB-C and, in particular, the TX transmitter does not get power from your computer/tablet just from being plugged in there. The catch is that in a hotel room or other unfamiliar locations you may not find a USB port within reach of the cables supplied with these. So it’s best to use a power bank – you may need two of them! – to make everything work. That said, when you have followed the very simple directions these devices work flawlessly. I did not notice any degradation of signal, interruptions or latency. So now when I travel I can watch anything I’ve brought on my portable devices on the big-screen TV in the hotel room as most all of them these days have HDMI ports. In fact, with my air-mouse and wireless keyboard I can work on my laptop using the big-screen TV. It’s wonderful!These little devices look and feel well-made of standard materials. They do heat up with use but that doesn’t seem to make them quit. I haven’t taxed them with making them work over long distances or through walls or anything.Are they a good value? Well, considering that most of the alternatives are a lot more costly than the current $55.99 asking price of these, I would say they absolutely are a good value. RECOMMENDED!
