worked ok the first couple of times then wouldn't connect ever again. won't buy this again.

New Cable box in the living room and new smart TV 20 feet away , used this device to avoid hard wires, worked OK for the first week now on start up get a black screen then after delay or a reset of the transmitter I might get a picture on the remote TV , reminds me of being a kid and having to turn the rabbit ears on my Pops TV , even when it works the picture is marginal at best what gives for nearly 200 bucks ? Update 10/17 called the company customer service was told to procure a different device with hdmi out to set up and then restest my NEW cable reciever .... what a poor excuse for customer service UPDATE >>>> Now they want me to buy a long HDMI cables to move the reciever closer to the transmitter?? hmmmm might as well "hard wire it" right , why would I need their product ?

Works OK, but only comes with US power adapters and 2 pin converters. Needs separate US/UK power converter.

Flawless - Perfect - Easy!

Despite the low review count (only 12) on amazon.ca I decided to give this wireless transmitter a try. I am using it for my HD projector so I have no cables running across my floor. I am streaming from my HD Apple TV and also my Cogeco HD cable box in 1080p. This device is nothing short of perfect. The video is crystal clear in HD and there is no video/audio sync problems at all. None whatsoever!!! I am truly amazed at the quality of such a small yet robust device I do not have a single negative thing to say about it.If you want to cut the cord without sacrificing quality then I highly recommend this HD transmitter by IO Gear!

Never again will I buy cables! I have the transmitter plugged into an HDMI splitter which the PS4, the Xbone, and the blue-ray player all plug into, and transmits to the receiver which is plugged into the ceiling mounted projector in the middle of the room (~10ft slope distance, or ~20m of cable along the walls and ceilings away). No need to run the unsightly cables! This gem has 0 lag! I can play Destiny 2 competitively with no lag issues. Movies are flawless. I haven't tried any 3D movies yet, but I can't imagine an issue. This item is the key to making my entertainment area so awesome... no holes were cut to hide the cables. I almost forget to mention how easy it is to setup: it was as simple as plug and play!

I forget where I bought it, maybe Amazon. It's worked fine for years for excellent 1080p video from a Yamaha AV receiver to an Epson projector. My main AV source is an old Panasonic BluRay player that also handles WiFi streaming, Amazon, Netflix, etc. Other AV inputs are a QAM decoder box for free digital broadcast TV channels on my cable feed (2-13 and a few others), and a MacAir laptop for online stuff. All video works very well including full 1080p BluRay discs: no picture/sound sync problems. The AV receiver looks after my 5.1 audio, so I can't comment on that. Final comment: I have the receiver box under the projector in a wooden cabinet. The signal is fine through the wood (it's direct, not WiFi).

Plug it in and it works. No messing around with settings, no connection issues.Unlike some other units, this comes with everything you need. You don't have to provide your own cables/ or power adapters. It's got everything in the box.Connect the receiver to the TV with HDMI and use the included power cable to plug into the wall outlet. Plug the transmitter into your HDMI laptop, plug in the included power cable into the transmitter and a USB port on the laptop. BAMB! You're casting.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. This set was bought to use in our conference room at work and it works extremely well. I have tested it at 30 feet and it still streams perfectly for office use. I use it several times a week for presentations, spreadsheet reviews and video training. When playing videos from the internet or from local hard drive, there is no delays, no ghosting, no nothing - it displays like it is directly connected to the TV. I have this attached to a 70" LED flat screen TV and is a fabulous to no longer have monitor cable wires dangling across the conference room table. I had to buy a couple of adapter plugs, as my laptop does not have an HDMI or DVI port - I bought a VGA to HDMI adapter plug for about $20 and the whole thing works great.

I use this in a presentation space so coworkers and clients can plug their laptops into our A/V setup. This was very easy to setup and was essentially plug and play. When I first plugged it in I did have to press the "I" button on the transmitter for it to sync with the receiver, but once I did that it came up immediately. The video signal and sound was perfect. I've had it up and running for a few weeks now and sometimes for long presentations (3-4 hours) and it hasn't had a hiccup. It's currently about 15 ft away from the receiver and transmits through two walls.I have used it with straight HDMI into the laptop as well as with this VGA to HDMI converter: Etekcity® VGA Audio to HDMI 720p/1080p Scaler Converter Adapter Box for Laptop/PC Full HD HDTV with DC Power and no issues!My personal recommendation for powering this pair would be always use the A/C adapter for the receiver unit. For the transmitter use either the USB plug for a laptop or the A/C adapter if it's a more permanent device that you won't be plugging and unplugging all the time (Blu-ray player, console, etc).
