I could not get this to work. it will only display the middle of the image. I tried to look up the name of the device and it has no name on the box or the manual. i tried the ir code to see if that will help and nope ....another gripe is that the button is always facing the wronge way when plugged into a Nintendo switch or my xbox...i reviewed a similar item that worked perfectly if you are looking for a wireless hdmi solution, look at my reviews.

I had high hopes for this wireless HDMI streamer, especially since a Plug & Play experience was promised. This is not Plug & Play. With the current state of video a self-configuring device shouldn't be too hard. All the pertinent details should be in the HDMI signal. Yet, once I got this connected, the image was dropped to a lower resolution with improper orientation with most of the picture cut out. With enough configuration effort this unit can work properly but that's not the promise.Be aware that both the transmitter and receiver, in addition to the HDMI connection needs a powered USB-C connection to power the unit. If you're unlucky enough to have a device without this port you will find yourself running a USB cord for power.This isn't a bad unit if you are comfortable configuring devices. But if you are looking for a true Plug & Play experience, keep looking..

Of the several that I have acquired, recently, this one is by far my favorite (so far). I've grown weary of limiting myself to smaller views (43" and below), since my monitors sit across the room from my seat (wall mounted). Having a larger screen will help my aging eyes. As a 4K capable device, my new projectors (monitor replacements) are 4K capable, and at half the cost. Will the image be as sharp? No quite... Still, the improvement is easily notable.The Tx and Rx recognized and paired, almost instantly, and the image on the screen was incredibly sharp. Since I'm not broadcasting at range (about six feet, actually) I don't foresee any communication issues. I haven't had to do a single bit of troubleshooting, yet.Another similar unit (at $180) caused me a bit more frustration than this unit, and I can't complain one bit about the casting. both my router and the Tx/Rx all live in the same room so, if I have to download/use the app., I'll be good in that respect (communication range).For me (Linux Mint, Cinnamon Desktop), the image didn't seem to accept any interference. It's clean, through and through. When my box falls asleep, it shuts down video output, as well (this is intentional). One stroke of the keyboard, and the output roars back to life.The one gripe I have is the same with ALL of these units: width. Most DP and HDMI ports on PC's and KVM's are close together. The width of the housings on these makes them too much to attach to adjacent ports. Fortunately for me, I have a display adapter with four outputs, so I can skip one, from the PC. Similarly, my KVM has the output ports oriented vertically, rather than horizontally. This precludes the size accommodation issue, for me. Other users will not likely be so lucky.Finally, anytime an high bandwidth signal is transmitted, there is some lag (this is simply the nature of physics and current communication tech. The lag is virtually negligible, with VERY few exceptions. I'm not a gamer, so "nanoseconds count" doesn't apply to me. I'm extremely satisfied with the performance.The value of this unit, being a luxury item, will have to be determined by each consumer. For me, it's worth every last penny.

I help out with the local roller derby team, and we needed an easy way to connect a projector up so the fans could see the scoreboard in a better location. Getting this set allowed us to move the screen to a place in the venue where more people in the stands could see what's going on and follow along better with the bouts. I've also used this with my church to project music and scripture up where people could easily follow along with the service. And (of course) I've also used this to watch movies in my backyard with the family now that the weather is getting better (and it still gets dark early enough we aren't staying up until midnight to watch a movie). I really like how simple this is to use, simply plug the transmitter into the laptop (or other source) and the receiver into the projector and watch whatever. This is only 1080p, but my projector isn't 8k or anything and this was a lot more cost effective than some of the higher resolution options. I will say if you need to run video more than the ~165' you might want to look into a cat5 ethernet option as that will preserve the signal for a much farther distance (500' is pretty common for those adapters) and while you'll need to run a cable, ethernet is a lot thinner than your average HDMI cable (plus HDMI has an average length limitation of 25').
