If it is not real gold, diamonds, or the like, my ears begin turning red within an hour or two. That is followed by oozing (sorry for being blunt, but there is no nice way to describe it) and my ears hurting for days. (And the risk of an infection.) I am careful to only put in cheaper earrings if I am staying at home and can immediately remove them the instant I begin feeling a problem.I have found that if I dip the post in hydrocortisone cream before putting it through my earlobe, I can wear the cheaper earrings longer.I was able to wear these earrings about three hours before my ears began to hurt. Most with sensitive earlobes probably will not have my trouble. (As I said, I have EXTREMELY sensitive earlobes.)These are hypoallergenic and should not hurt most buyers.They are very lovely! In my opinion, these would make for wonderful gifts. (As I will have to do with them since I cannot wear them.) Each earring comes in its own little plastic zip lock bag and then placed within a gift box.Not just for women. These earrings would be great for men too.
