Four genuine steel horseshoe nails are hand-pounded into the shape of a rugged cross, 1.5-inches long and 1-inch wide. The sharp points of the nails are tucked into the design as they lie flat against the outstretched arms of the cross and are bent back down at the top, holding the necklace cord inside the looping metal. The genuine steel nails are layered with several protective coatings, but should not be worn in excessively wet conditions to protect the pendant for years to come. Color-coated copper wire is hand-wrapped around the nails to create even rows of wire and a stunning X-detail over the heart of the cross. This necklace was for my grandson that's a new Christian. He wears it everyday and loves it. The cross is so pretty. I wish the neckpiece was more sturdy but it's still a good purchase.

I have bought this necklace several times for my huaband. The rope has eventually gotten worn out and broke BUT he wore it for probably close to a year, or longer before that happened. That is why I continue to buy these. It is comfortable around his neck, light weight, and looks classy!
